The ones I got were from Keystone West (Amazon Prime). I suspect some vendors are ripoffs, and reviewers should specify which vendor was used. Whenever there are multiple sellers to choose from, there is a chance of dishonesty, and it should be reported to Amazon rather than reflected on a product review that misleads everyone, and hurts the honest vendors. The set I got only came with the earphones and the tips that were installed. I usually need bigger tips, and these sounded very tinny and harsh. So, I searched through my stash of tips to find some bigger ones that matched (almost all are interchangeable in my experience), and they sound so much better. Very clear and sharp for music. For anyone who understands basic physics, expecting good bass from such a small enclosure is a challenge. In order to get the best possible bass response, you need to have a good seal, and that requires a properly fitting tip. So when you hear complaints about the sound, keep this in mind - not everyone has the same size ears, and not everyone bothers to determine the proper size for their ears. Fortunately, Amazon sells just the tips in case you don't have a stash like I did.The good news is that all the buttons work on my LG G2 phone - I haven't had any before with volume buttons that worked (like iphone buttons). It's the same as using the volume control on the phone, not just a slider like most Android headsets. Note that the volume buttons will not work on an iphone (and vice versa), but the other button, the stop/start or answer/hangup will work for both.EDIT: 3 months later...Today, one of the ends - the part where the soft tip connects (where the silver ring is) - came unglued. It should still work, and I plan to get some good glue and see if I can repair it, although it's hard to find glue that sticks to plastic. Superglue would be ideal if it would work, but it usually won't. A strong contact cement is needed, because it would be hard to clamp this due to not having parallel opposing sides.I don't see anything about a warranty, so I assume there is only the 30-days you get for returning an item. I really don't think it would be worthwhile to contact Samsung about this, and I don't know that this is even considered to be a retail item.I deducted one star due to this problem; I have 2 more just like it, so if it also breaks quickly, I'll come back and deduct another star or two. However, for the price, I still think it might be worth buying, as most similar ones that cost much more end up breaking somewhere at the mic/switch, and I usually don't like those as much as this. Still, if I could get a pair that I like as much as these that cost more and lasted longer, I'd prefer that.UPDATE:I ordered 3 more of these, sold by Amazon. The last ones did not last as long as the first; the buttons just seem to stop working, or the wires break. On average, I think they might last about 2 months at the most. Also, at least one of the later ones didn't seem to sound clear.I don't baby these, and carry them around in my pocket in a soft pouch that offers very little protection, so it may be partially my fault they don't last, but I do take fairly good care otherwise.First of all, I don't know for sure whether these are genuine or not. I bought two pairs from a seller called 'everything authentic' and have used them for over a year with no problems. Recently I obtained two more earbuds with similar functions I used to own a pair of the earphones that came with the S4 but stepped on them and broke them. After seeing all the negative reviews about this product, I was rather scared to buy it, but I was leaving on a trip and needed a pair of headphones, so I went ahead and shelled out the five dollars it cost. As to whether or not this is indeed a real Samsung product, I can't say, but I've been please with my purchase so far.Overall, the quality is quite good, especially for the price. I'm not sure if it's due to the fact that I was borrowing a pair of overly high-bass earphones in the time before I bought these, but I can perhaps see why people thought they sounded "tinny". However, after using them more, I got used to the sound quality. Once again, it may have just been because I used earphones with very deep bass (too deep for my liking) just prior to switching to these. Sound quality seems more or less as I remember it from my original pair. The buttons work just fine on my the ones I bought as does the microphone. For five dollars, it's completely worth it if you're just looking for a pair of headphones to use while exercising, doing chores around the house, or the like. If you're an audiophile, well, it's not like you would have used the original S4 earphones in the first place.Received this product and the quality of sound was fairly good but the headset broke within a week. A real shame as I was finally getting used to them and was generally enjoying it. I wasn't rough with them, in fact I was laying on a beach chair just listening to music when suddenly the right bud stopped working and eventually the entire left control system and headset fell apart. I remind you that I was laying almost completely still when the headset just failed on me.I bought 2 and they both sounded horrible compared to the actual headphones that came with my phone. These are obviously fakes, don't waste your time and money, they are not even worth the time and effort to return them. These made me look extra hard again to find them through Samsung, I would rather pay a little more but get quality. This was a bad experience, and am now going to be very leary about buying merchandise from AmazonQuand j'utilise mes écouteurs sans fil, j'apporte aussi ces écouteurs au cas.Bon rapport qualité prix. Le son est bon et ils sont confortables dans les oreilles. Ils s'ajustent bien a celles-ci.They're decent earbuds. The inline buttons work good, very easy to press and use. Earbuds also fit fairly well, and they don't fall out easily. Can't really say for certain that they are truly samsung earbuds. I've never had any, but considering mine didn't last super long, I'm inclined to say no? They only lasted nearly 3 months before the audio stopped going to one of earbuds, although I'm pretty sure that if you know how to solder, then it's probably an easy fix, but i haven't bothered to attempt. Regardless, considering how cheap they are currently being sold, I think 3 months is a pretty good lifetime. Plus I was very reckless with them (constantly yanking and jamming them into my pocket while still attached to my phone), so I imagine with a bit better care, they would last longer. If you're looking for cheap throwaway earbuds, I'd definitely recommend these. But if you're looking for a more permanent solution, then I would instead recommend investing more money to purchase some other earbuds, because it is very unlikely that you will find long lasting earbuds for prices this cheap. The sound quality is so bad as to be unusable. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch. I listen to audiobooks and I struggle to understand them using these earbuds. Music sounds muffled and far away, like listening through a pipe. The seller was good enough to replace them upon request, however the replacement buds were just as bad.
