good purchaseI have use a Siemens Corded/cordless for many, many years; it has been quite reliable however with the many wireless devices in the household, the phone has suffered from Wi-Fi interference.I did my research and decided to try the PanasonicKX-TG9582 2 line system which I received yesterday.The Wi-Fi interference is gone! The reception throughout our large house is quite good so far.I was able to pair 2 cell phones without any problems and I must say I am impressed by this technology.I do agree with previous reviews that found:1. The lack of a hold button on the handsets is a big inconvenience2. It should be possible to increase the sound more3. The handset design could be more user friendly.That being said, there is a lot that is very good:1. Being able to download my iPhone contacts to this unit2. Being able to connect to my computer with a USB cable to access and call Outlook contacts3. Being able to set the ringer on the handsets to off during sleep hours4. Being able to pick up cell phone calls on the handsets5. The sound is pretty clear with no more interference6. The speakerphone on the base unit is quite good (I have not yet tried the one on the handsets but I doubt I will use this feature)7. The amount of fine tuning of features that is possibleI will continue to use and test this unit and will report back with any significant findings but so far, so good.My cordless handset broke and this was a replacement. Hope it lastsworks just like my original, just needed an extra remote cordless phone to use with my phone system, very easy to set up, within like 5 seconds was ready to go, just needed to keep plugged in over night to fully charge the batteriesthese are great phones! once in a while the ear phone jacks fail. battery life is really goodVery good fidelity and the built-in mini speakerphone is much better than expected. I think it's superb as is the "mothership" 2-line Panasonic I tethers to. I use it as a home office phone but the handset is located next to my bed and has a small footprint, works great. A+.Exactly what we were looking for.Perfect replacement for my worn out handset. I used the new handset with my old docking station and put the old barely usable handset on the remote charging station. It increased the volumn through my retail store.Panasonic is the only manufacturer still producing a 2 line phone system. I like the fact that it can connect to 12 additional portable phones. I purchased ten of them. I am 80 years of age and managed to set it up and program all the phones without help. The clarity of sound is excellent as well as most of the programmable features. I run a business out of my home and needed the two line phone system. The only problem I have is that I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids so I am unable to raise the volume to a level that I am comfortable with. A company called clarity makes equipment for the hearing impaired and a special volume adjustable amplifier attached to the base station solved the problem. My previous system was made by Siemens of Germany who were the forerunners of all these home phone systems. After 35 years, it still worked but the screens images no longer functioned and the buttons didn't connect. The technology of course has leaped ahead in milestones and this system is wonderful. I notice that the technology is a few years old and I have a feeling that with land lines disappearing due to cellular systems they will eventually not be needed.This handset is working well with my KX-TG9541C base unit. The range works throughout my home without any difficulties. The handset holds a charge for a very long time, and I have yet to run into any issues even after using it all day.My one wish for them to improve the design is that when you have a headset plugged into the headset jack it is impossible to use the speakerphone button. You must physically detach the headset from the jack for the speakerphone to work. That seems like an unnecessary limitation, and one which provides a slight bother which could be fixed easily.Otherwise, a great little unit!Really easy to register the handset with the base unit, just charge battery and push locator button on base. Long battery life on the handsets, at least a couple of days standby. Display is easy to read and back-lights with orange if the unit is in use. Very clear conversations. Good range, though I have only tested around the house and yard. I live with a fairly large power line in the back lane and have had no interference.I bought this to match one of two other phones, one of which had been drooped & didn't function well.
