I've tested a bunch of inexpensive headsets over the years. I've gotten to the point where I'm just waiting for them to go horribly wrong in some regard.Imagine my surprise when I finally get a set that just work. Further, work pretty well. Especially for the money, this is a nice little setup. One, small issue, they come inside a plastic bag, and the cables are really messed up. It took quite a bit of finagling to get everything laid out accordingly. It's not worth knocking a point off, but I wanted to mention it.Once laid out, the design is good enough that there's no real thought involved. This part hooks around your head. This part goes over the ear so you can hear. This part goes near your mouth so you can talk. This other little part is for pushing in order to talk (PTT). DONE!And really, it was that simple. I tested this with a bunch of radios that take the Kenwood pin configuration, and it worked well on all of them. Volume was pretty good in the ear. Sound quality was as good, if not in some cases, better than the built-in microphone. There was a slight pop on some of the radios tested that was slightly unpleasant at the start & stop of transmissions, but nothing like other headsets I've tested.I like the overall design. Having the PTT on a separate cable was a great design. I also like how it comes with a built-in velcro mount. Look, this is inexpensive, but I've tested more expensive ones that were much worse. For the money, you'll be hard pressed to find a better headset like this.
