The 3 days it took for shipping and processing was very fast and was a nice convenience that allowed me to get back to chatting as soon as possible. I bought this as a replacement for the original 3.5 4 pole to 2.5 cable that Microsoft provided with their stereo headset adapter for the old controllers that had just had a micro usb port. The cable that Microsoft provided was a cheap flatline cable that would make a hard conner due to dead hanging with the significantly heavier 2.5 female adapter cylinder. Due to poor design and insight with this hard corner it made the cord prone to eventually breaking after about exactly 4 months like mine did (If you research there are countless other owners who have had their cable break after 4 or less months) due to the wires in the cable either becoming severed or disconnected. ienza has fixed this problem by one providing a sturdier cable through braiding and also preventing hard corners by angling the connection. Both plugging the cable into the 3.5 jack on the controller and your 2.5 cable into the adapter felt very sturdy and secure. Now having a secure connection to the controller is nice, but I may have wanted it to be slightly looser so that in the event of a dropped controller the adapter cable receives as little stress as possible and pops right out instead of having a hard tug that could cause damage. As opposed to the Microsoft adapter, when plugging the 2.5 cable into this adapter it slides in easily without much force and makes a much better connection and I noticed this immediately as I wasn't having to constantly unplug and reposition the cable for the xbox to recognize the connection. It instantly picked the headset up. Now this could be due just to my excitement of being able to use my headset again, but I also felt the voice quality was so much clearer with this cable in both hearing and talking so that good be due to better connection with gold-plated jacks. In conclusion, this adapter cable is ten times better in all aspects than the cable microsoft provides with their adapter and as such it is evident that ienza actually cares about delivering a quality product instead of Microsoft which is obviously more concerned about money than quality. I would recommend buying this cable regardless if you already have an adapter cable as it is has great quality and seems like it will last a while and you never know if your cable will be subject to the same damage from hard cornering. There's not much to say, except this product does what it says. My Turtle Beach X12's, which were a present from a friend, quit working on Xbox Live so I narrowed it down to a bad cord. This was cheap and seemed best reviewed, so I hopped on Amazon and purchased it. There is only one thing I can say and that it's seemingly introduced a weird side effect: you must keep your controller plugged into an outlet or the system if the battery is below X% then the controller will experience frequent disconnects. I'm unsure what this would have to do with the cord, but I love the angled feature which should prevent any issues from the cord degrading internally. From reading around online, people had a similar issue with other cords and the number seems to be the lower 3/4 of the battery won't allow it to work properly, but as I have a 10 foot USB cord laying around this isn't a huge deal. I just wanted to get back to talking with friends on Xbox Live.I got these to try to milk some life out of some old Turtle Beach Earforce X41 and X42 headsets from my xbox 360 days. I wanted to use them with my xbox one x because the Turtle Beach Stealth 300s hurt my ears a lot by pressing on my glasses.I bought the turtle beach controller plug in adapter and this 3.5 to 2.5 mm adapter. The xbox, controller, and tb adapter are known good because they work well with my TB Stealth 300s. The 300s come with 3.5 mm cord so I can't vet this cord with them. When I try using this cord with any of *3* different X41 and X42 headsets I get either no sound (X41s) or I get really really poor quality sound. Now, these were relatively expensive headsets in their day and haven't been abused so the terrible sound quality alone is troublesome. But what seems more telling that either this cable is defective or does not work to facilitate using old corded 2.5mm headsets with the xbox one is that game sound and the chat sound are on the wrong channels. On the TB adapter, using this cable seems to result in the game volume being treated as chat volume. So if you, like me, want to use your old xbox 360 headsets with your xbox one, I'm afraid you'll either have to be luckier than me or look elsewhere. If you got your cord to work and had this problem, I'd love to hear the solution.I have the Tritton AX 720 headphones for the Xbox 360 and upgraded to Xbox One. This is the only adapter you need to put on the headphone cord to the headphone jack on the bottom of your Xbox One controller. Only one of my controllers has a headphone jack on the bottom so be sure to check your controller.I have found that there is a slight buzz when using the adapter which is why I dropped it to a 4*, but it's only noticeable when there isn't any game noise happening. When I use the headphones on my 360 there is no buzz so it has to be coming from the adapter.Working perfectly attaching an old school xbox head set or 2.5mm telephone headset to an Xbox One controller with the 3.5mm input. There isn't much other to the functionality but that it does this and does it well. The right angle helps to get the headphone cable out of my way when plugged into the controller allowing it to go straight down from the controller. This also makes it less likely to be torqued and broken while plugged into the controller. This cable appears to be identical, including markings to this other cable. At the time of my purchase there was a small difference in price and one was not available prime but now it appears that both are the same price. Your mileage may vary.http://amzn.to/2rEHsr3
