I'm using this replacement gaming mic with an old voice recorder to record dialogue and it works great.My voice recorder has a 3.5mm TRS input that also supplies Electret Condenser Power (power for ECM microphones) which all matches up perfectly with this microphone.I use the microphone very close to my mouth and I do have quite a strong voice. So the signal and quality coming from this mic into my voice recorder are surprisingly good. Especially considering the price of this mic.I would imagine that it would work just as well with a compatible gaming headset, as there's definitely enough reach on the gooseneck/arm to get the mic close to your mouth with a gaming headset.
