I have had maybe 10 different sets of blue tooth headphones in the last 2 years, so I can only speak to that wide range of random devices. These were the best, I had them for about 6 months, loved everything about them, all of the features, the battery life was ok, but I use them all day and they would last. One fateful evening I was putting my son on my shoulders they go knocked off my head, landed on the power button, and completely broke the button, destroying the headphones...6 months later I have had 2 more sets of headphones, the PXC 550-II and some JBL (garbage) and have decided to pick these up at a discount compared to what I originally bought them for.For me, these were the best.SAVE THE BOX - it has the serial number.I use this as a gaming headset. The sound quality (if you use the ASUS stabalization software) is great, it's very comfortable and I'm generally very happy with the quality. One problem which is why I took away 2 stars - the external Boom microphone stopped working after 6 months - a loose connection. You have to keep holding it and toggling it for it to work. And using just the internal microphone has a slight buzz/tinny sound that audiophiles can detect and is annoying for hours of use. If ASUS just had a part number of this boom microphone that you could find/order (ironically it is detachable) - this would have been a 5 star review. There are some tiny numbers printed on the headset near the left earphone - none of which are the serial number. The serial number is *only* on the box - so save that number or better yet, register it. ASUS will not cover the warranty if you do not have this serial number - I realize this is my fault for not registering or saving the serial number - but we buy so many ASUS products and what I was annoyed by was: Their website doesn't mention any serial numbers for headsets of where to find them. Their support website doesn't have any parts for the headset - though similar competitors headsets with detachable boom microphones do. Their customer service doesn't know where to find serial numbers for their headset (they kept saying produce the box with numbers on it) - I sent them the receipt of the date of purchase and a photo of the numbers on the headset - but that was not enough. They also do not know of any parts for it that can be ordered. So a word of caution if you buy these - SAVE THE BOX (serial number)Cancels out most background noise, especially machines and music, dogs etc. But it doesn't really handle a crying baby. Your best bet if you need extreme wireless noise cancellation is the Poly Voyager 2, but if you just need decent headset and to tone down roommates, HVAC noise, blenders, vacuums, dogs etc occasionally then this is perfect.Biggest complaint was the mute button interprets sound to tell you it's muted. Huge issue on phones or games because if you mute while somebody it talking you miss what they say and need to unmute to ask them which defeats the purpose.Wireless connectivity is very good that it doesn't lose the connection even if I am far away from my laptop and there are a few obstructions like walls and windows. Noise cancellation also works, but I can still hear the bark of my dog when I did a Loom video. Overall, I love the design and color of the headset and all the accessories included in the box. The sound quality is excellent for me. The package arrived earlier than I was expecting and it is well-packed. Another quality product from ASUS! I hope it lasts long. The mic noise cancelation is amazing and after using asus armor create (asus aura) it perfected the mic even more, they are comfortable headphones but because they only surround the ear and dont go alittle farther out they can hurt your ears after awhile, the volume control and mute function is very strange, it looks like a dial but its not its like a switch and a button. Button mutes the micThe sound quality is not what money can buy OUT OF THE BOX. After using asus armor box (asus aura) the sound quality is levels above what it was out of the box. One thing i dint like about the packageing is alot of reviews on youtube about this headset they dont have the wind noise filter, that is included inside the package but they seem to all miss it inside the packaging, its taped to the side of the black box and very very hard to see a very bad place to put that the internal microphone according to my friends on ps4 sounds better then the external mic, you cant plug this headset in the ps4 directly (well you can) if you do they will reconnect and disconnect over and over again because of interference i used a powered usb portIt fixed that problem as far as i know anyhow. Idk if my external hdd had something to do with it or not. But all the reviews on the headset that says the sound quality is bad must not of messed with it in asus aura, thats what makes me love the headsets and i believe it saves the settings done on asus aura to the headset or the 2.4 chip so it applies those settings on your phone or ps4 or anything these are truely amazing, only negative is that the cups arnt bigger and they ant 50mm speakers but the standard 40mmMe gusta la cancelacion de ruido y la comodidad al usarlos, en mac no he encontrado el software para activar cancelacion de ruido. They have been amazing up until 5 days ago when they stopped charging. When i try to play with them plugged in, they keep beeping and cutting in and out.Im tired of spending a ton of money on turtle beach that break and now these. Maybe the cheap pair are the way to go....Getting support from ASUS is a joke. Im on my own with $150 dollar paper weight. After less then a year, the battery doesnt hold and it didnt after 3 month of owning. It always keep disconnecting, no matter what after 5 min of gaming mic would disconnect randomly or headset will just shut off for no reason.Don't buy this. Get something else.
