This headset is perfect and checks all the boxes! I was looking for a headset to use for meetings and online teaching using Zoom and Google Meet. The headset works flawlessly with both. I love that it is plug-and-play. My voice comes across crystal clear in both Zoom and Meet. I was looking for a wired headset with the ability to mute my mic by raising the mic boom. I tried other wireless headsets, and the connection was spotty, and the battery never lasted. Thus, I wanted a wired headset for the reliability in connection and never needing to charge it. This headset comes with noise-cancellation; I am pretty impressed with how well it works. I tried it in a loud cafe, and the only thing heard was my voice. This will come in handy when I am traveling. It is comfortable to wear and seems to be well made. I highly recommend it.Update: After using the headset for a couple months, I'm still in love. I have come to love another feature I thought was worth highlighting. The usb wire has a mute indicator light on it. It is so nice when you have a million windows open to just look over and see the red light that I'm muted. No more checking back in the meeting widow to double check. The light even captures when you mute from the meeting (Zoom/Google Meet).Product is good for office use but only flaw I face is when lowering microphone it hits my glasses if it was little flexible than hard plastic I would love itIf you work from home and you are having a bad time with background noises, this is the perfect headset for those cases. It has an amazing noise cancelling mic that deals even with a blender turned on nearby.Wherher you are remote or in office, this headset is great. Created to integrate with MS Teams and it is such a plus. Jabra sound is one of the best. The headset is comfortable as is the padding. Noise canceling is great for when you are in an open space, at home with kids, or in office. The lights on the headset indicate when engaged on a call and sync perfectly. I purchased for my team of 10 and they absolutely love them.Working from home and sharing an office. Noise cancellation was high on the list as well as just wanting something nicer than what my company sent to me. These are absolutely fantastic!! I can always hear the person calling perfectly and never have complaints with having another person talking in the background. This is a great headset, but it is best for a left handed person. The wired cable comes from the right ear and is not super long, to it is in the way of a right handed mouse and on the wrong side of my USB outlets.Jabra says this can be used with computers, that's exactly what a Playstation or Xbox is. They just have custom hardware and a custom OS.All testing was done on Playstation, 4/5These MONO USB headsets do NOT work on Playstation. The speaker doesn't work and the noise canceling doesn't seem to work the greatest. This STEREO USB headset does work on Playstation. It works great. Adjusting the mic level on the Playstation, having very lout background noise these did an excently job at canceling it out. As I like to wear mono headsets for chat and surround sound for the game. People in chat complained they could hear the game too much so I search for a better headset.I wish the mono ones worked but I'll just have to keep one earphone off.The ear piece is a lot bigger than most others I’ve tried, covering more of your ear which puts less pressure on the ear resulting in more comfort and less headaches. My ears would just hurt after 2-3 hours wearing the others but the Jabra are comfortable. In photo, on left is Logitech H390 on right is Jabra E2 40. As far as noise canceling, nothing is going to keep out background noise such as tour dogs or kids ect. I did test them with a person sitting 3-5 feet away and he wasn’t audible on the other end. It was a normal indoor conversation tone so they do are noise canceling in the sense they are suppose to be.Mi esposo y yo hacemos home office, y nuestros escritorios están juntos. Me encanto!I had always been against wearing over-ear headphones as they are usually oversized, heavy, hot and the weight on my neck usually causing headaches afterwards. Since the pandemic, online meetings have become an essential way of communicating at work and keeping in touch with loved ones, I am so pleased that I found this new generation of Jabra on-ear headphones. It is lightweight, great-looking, comfortable, provides sufficient noise cancellation and clear sound. I have tried the Evolve2 30 originally because worrying about Evolve2 40 may be too heavy for me. But I was convinced by the larger speakers that delivered a much clear sound than Evolve2 30 and the weight is acceptable which did not cause me headache or neck pain even after wearing it for 5 to 7 hours a day with 3 to 4 small breaks in between. I highly recommend it.I've been using the Evolve 40 for the past couple of years, but about a couple months ago the part where the earphones slide to adjust broke. I was able to hold them together with some plastic bonder for awhile, but they broke again so after looking around I ended up going with these Evolve2 40 - they appeared to be more sturdy and I assumed they'd be at least as good as the original.Nope.Cons -First thing, they're uncomfortable. If they're sitting on your ears, then they put pressure on the top of your head. If you tilt them back a bit so they're not pushing directly down, they'll continue to slowly slide back, and on top of that, the boom doesn't swing low enough to compensate so now the boom is in an awkward position. The boom only swings one way, so you have to wear the boom on the right side regardless of what's most convenient. The boom also sits unnervingly close to your face, I have to frequently change the position to keep it from touching and creating major mic noise. There's no convenient pod with a mute button and mute indicator like the original Evolve had.Out of the box, the only way to mute is to swing the boom up.The mute button and mute indicator only work if you install the software. The mute indicator is now on the USB plug, which isn't always in an easy-to-see location. If you have the software installed, pushing the mute button will create a playback in the headset to tell you that mute is on, and you can enable an annoying sound to repeat every 30 seconds or so to tell you it's on mute. Most headsets have used a simple chirp to audibly indicate mute, these use an annoying low rumbling noise. The sidetone isn't hardwired, instead it's supposed to operate through software - except it doesn't actually work. You can set the sidetone in the software to different levels, but the low levels all just mean there's no sidetone at all, and the higher levels just seem to pick up everything around you, keyboard clicks, ambient noise, whatever. I couldn't find a way to actually hear my voice regardless of the setting. The on-call indicator light does not work, doesn't matter if you have the software installed or not.Pros:Overall sound quality does seem better. They do seem to be better built than the original Evolve. All in all, whatever Jabra has done here seems to be in almost every respect a downgrade from the original Evolve 40 headset. Everything worked with that right out of the box, no reliance on software at all. With these you need to install software just to get some things partially working, and a lot of office workers don't have admin rights on their workstations so that's not just a simple thing.I'm returning these, they're not even close to worth the price you pay. This is a good product, trust me. But I have many issues with this as I have been using Jabra Evolve 20 for over 2 year.Pros:- The call quality with Jabra is excellent. They never go wrong with any of their products.- Noise cancellation on speakers is good. They call it passive noise cancellation. Basic the earpieces are so designed that it is like you keeping your hands over your ears. Does reduce some sound, without a doubt. At first I thought it was a marketing gimmick, but you will see that because of the design you see some reduction in noise. The mic is not noise cancelling, but being Jabra the quality is much better than other products.- The type C variant is quite good. I use this for calls not just on my laptop but also on phones. For Evolve 20 I had to use a type A to type C converter. This one being type C is much easier to connect.- The build is good, the design is sturdy, the case is very nice.- Mic gets muted when pulled up. This is an excellent feature! And what is more, when connected to a laptop it says muted/unmuted when you mute/unmute. EXCELLENT feature for when in meetings and you forget to mute yourself. You cannot go wrong with this.Cons:- Wire Length: The best part about Evolve 20 was that it had a long wire. This is just regular sized. Compared to other products, no different. The length is standard. But compared to Evolve 20, its a disappointment. I loved the ability to move around while in meetings.- Call Controls: The call controls on your right earpiece. I am really not a fan of that design. With evolve 20, the design was a circular wheel with buttons in the middle of the wire. It was way more convenient. However, with the mic getting muted when pulled up I cannot really complain that much. Increasing or decreasing the sound is a bit inconvenient though.- Mic Placement - Perhaps my greatest complaint with this device is that the mic is on the right side. With Jabra Evolve 20, the mic could rotate either forward or backward. So you could wear the mic side towards left and pull the mic forward; or wear the mic side towards right ear and pull the mic forward. This mic can only be pulled one side. So if you are wearing the mic side on your left year, the mic will actually pull down not in front but towards the back of your neck. And having the mic and controls on the right side is extremely inconvenient while in meeting, making notes, or doing anything at all on your laptop.Overall it is a good product, it is definitely an improvement over Jabra Evolve 20 or even Jabra Evolve 40 but some ergonomic points could have been better.
