I’ve used cca iems for a long time and have fallen in love with how balanced and crisp their sound is. I use the CCA C10’s and they fit every need I have, expect one… Versatility.I was stoaked to find out they had a new pair of truly wireless earbuds and I was confident that if they sounded remotely close to as good as their wired counterparts I would love them. Sadly that wasn’t the case.These headphones are rough around the edges and you can tell they are still trying to figure things out. The way the headphones pair to eachother isn’t very smooth. There is a couple milliseconds of lag between the two ears. The right ear plays just slightly but noticeably louder.The sound, is disappointing. It’s the sound you would expect from a pair of 20$ ear buds. Very lacking in the mid section and lacking depth and soundstage. The bass from the 10mm driver is fine and the armature driver designed to play the high end does a good job at playing the high end but that’s it. There should be at least one more driver to fill in the mids.For any mainstream headphone at this price I wouldn’t be surprised with the sound being bad. But for this product to come from cca is surprising. When I first ordered a pair I was so let down with how they sounded that I thought that something was defective with the pair I had, so I sent them back and othered another pair. Sadly I was wrong and they’re was nothing abnormal or broken. That’s just how they sounded.The one thing that I love about them is the comfort, extremely light and ergonomic. Designed to fit the shape of an actual ear instead of looking cool, and they do a great job of that. I can wear them for +8 hours and don’t experience any fatigue.I have hope that cca will continue to improve them and smooth out the kinks. I think the concept they’re going for is phenomenal, and I know that CCA is capable of making an excellent sounding iem. This first attempt at a fully wireless design had the right concept, just poor execution.I would wait for future models to come out before purchasing these.
