So I got this because I've gotten into the hobby and didn't want to blow 500 bucks on a headset. I read that this one was pretty good and took a chance and so far it's paid off. For being so cheap in price this is actually quite a quality headset. The head bands are adjustable but I got lucky and it was already the perfect size for me, the picture quality is amazing even matching my friends who spent quite a bit more on his. The nose peice feels a bit awkward but it's easily ignorable atleast for me. All around this is a pretty good headset for beginners. I wouldn't say it's best all around but it sure is the best in this price range!I was looking for an inexpensive second pair of goggles for my kids to be able to fly FPV or spectate and these fit the bill perfectly. The visual quality is on par with other box goggles that are much bulkier and more expensive.Although these are a box-style goggle, they are surprisingly small, which also means they're very lightweight. I don't think they would be comfortable for larger adults (for example, I can't wear most snapback hats because my head is too big, and these goggles aren't comfortable or really usable for me). But, for my use case of smaller humans, it's absolutely perfect. If you are getting seriously into the FPV hobby it's worth it to invest in a high-quality pair of goggles, but for kids, a backup pair, or just to have something a random spectator can throw on and watch, these are perfect and priced right. I also appreciate that they charge via mini USB and don't require a more specific charger, although the battery life may prove a challenge if you're trying to watch a full race day.One oddity that takes these from 4 stars to 5 is that the RP-SMA jacks on the goggles are male, meaning the majority of 5.8GHz RP-SMA antennas marketed to the FPV crowd will not work with these goggles. However, the stock antennas were surprisingly pretty good in the little bit I've used them so far.Honestly, I was not expecting these goggles to be as good as they are! The 3” screen and clone look had me skeptical at first, but I’ve been using these and I’m blown away by the clarity and color vibrance of the screen. These goggles are incredibly light and comfortable to wear. The face part is a good fit for my head shape and the foam blocks out 95% of light so that’s nice. These goggles appear to be rebranded VR-006 but with a single antenna which is not a huge loss seeing as how the “diversity” in the Eachine model is actually just 2 SMA wired in y configuration.Navigating the menu is fairly straightforward but you will need to know the frequency of your channel because it doesn’t display channel names. There is an osd inside the screen that shows battery voltage of the goggles and frequency of your signal that can be turned on or off in the settings menu if you find it distracting.Overall I’m satisfied with this product for the price it would be hard to beat. It has a smaller screen than the VR-007’s but it makes up for it with a higher resolution and sharp image. These work great for freestyle and tiny whoops but I wouldn’t recommend it for 5” racers because even though the picture is clear it can seem far away at times especially when you’re coming around a hairpin 180 it can be hard to track the gate and can be disorienting sometimes. Also it’s worth mentioning that QC is less than ideal since I received a non working unit. The screen was completely white and I couldn’t see the menu or anything. Arris offered to replace it but I declined and decided to open them up and fix it. Turns out the ribbon cable from the screen to the PCB was not connected properly because I re-seated it and it worked great after that. While I was in there I pulled out the stock battery and modified the connection to work with an external 18650 battery instead so I can’t comment on battery life or charging capabilities. It doesn’t have dvr and the antenna should be replaced with an omnidirectional such as a Pagoda. With that said it’s still a great option for beginner goggles or a spare set to be used for ride-alongs!I resolved it by searching on Google and found a klugey but workable solution - gluing the lenses from a cheapo set of +5.0 readers, which had on hand, to the surface on each side. Voila - it worked. Before that, I had to hold the goggles about 4" out to get the proper focus, and the size of the goggles wasn't enough to simply take the earpieces off the readers as others have suggested. As a side note, it shouldn't be that difficult for someone to come up with a lens set insert which can be slipped in place, similar to what you see with headband magnifier systems. I'm sure there's a market for it. I also have a large proboscis, and took care of that situation by gluing a small piece of orange RC foam rubber. There are larger FPV googles which could handle going over readers, but I didn't want to spend over $100 or more to try FPV. I'm using it with an Arris Poke FPV indoors. What takes the most getting used to is identifying where the drone is via visual clues of your environment that you tend to ignore, especially closer to the ground. :)Ordered these on the fly as my EV800Ds are stuck somewhere in transit. If they don't show up I might just request a refund as these are way better than I expected. Image is smooth and range is acceptable for whoops. Much smaller than I thought they were gonna be which is actually very nice. They don't take up a lot of space in my storage case for all of my whoop stuff. No DVR but at this price range, but I am not disappointed. I was originally using an Android 5.8G receiver and my Galaxy S9+ in a pair of VR goggles, I am never going back to that again. Image quality and framerate on these goggles is like night and day compares to my old setup. I wish I just got these in the first place. If you need a pair of googles and don't want to spend a ton, look no further.this is great for the price. other headsets are so much more expensive, this one is great if you want a beginner headset to see if you like drone flying. i got this as a replacement for my other headset which would turn off randomly while i was flying, making it unusable. this one works great. its super easy to connect to my tiny whoop drone.i only gave it 4 stars because the screen isnt as good as my last one.Can only comment that it won’t fit over my prescription glasses. Which are normal size glasses.
