Failed within a year. But seemed durable enough.Worked well for my purposes.Oculus Rift is very picky when it comes to cable. I ordered cables in the past that did not work. This cable, the 6ft version is compatible with the Rift. The cable felt very premium. We are using these to easily reach the USB ports on the back of the computer. They are high speed 3.0 ports. We can still quickly transfer data through these extension adapters. Now we don't have to reach to the back of the computer and can easily plug in devices. Not sure what else to say it WORKS, I have two daisy chained to make 20ft to have a wired experience for my 55" TV instead of using it at my computer.Works like a charm no noticeable input delay on multiple emulators (CxBx / PSCX2 / Dolphin)CableMatters is a great reputable company. Thank you.it's all goodhefty feeling cable, connection feels soild. This is for everyone buying this for a rift S or other vr headset. The cord it’s self is completely fine and works just like a hdmi extender, but sense I did it I’m going to assume other people are too, your forgetting about the power cord for your headset. The power and hdmi cord are linked together, so you can’t just extend one, you also need to buy a extender for the power cord!I purchased this USB 3.0 extension cable so that I could increase the distance my wireless network adapter was from my computer. Thus, improving my wireless network signal as it was in a better position to connect and receive data from my router. The cable was delivered in a clear/see through baggy with branding affixed (see included photographs). As with most cables the outer jacket is made from a type of plastic, I believe, with the colour being black. Both ends of the cable have the blue insert signifying it is expected to be USB 3.0. Beware not to trust this insert as a sign of authenticity since fakes do exist (USB 2.0 cables with blue inserts sold as 3.0). The ways to tell is to test transfer speeds and if possible check 9 pins are connected as per a standard USB 3.0 (not 5 pins - USB 2.0). Mine did indeed reach speeds of 300-350MBps when conducting a quick test transferring files to an SSD. I paid £6.49 on 25th September for the 2 meter version which I feel is reasonable, in the middle ground and could be a bit cheaper.I purchased the Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 3ft cable to connect my Oculus Quest VR headset to my PC. It wasn't until after the cable arrived that I realised it was 3 ft not 3 meters, so my head was practically attached to my PC. I searched around the web and realised that a good quality USB 3.0 to USB 3.0 male to female extension lead should carry the connection and data further and allow me to play games from the other side of my room. This cable accomplishes this. NOTE that I needed a powered USB (3.0) port, so if the ones on the back of your PC don't do the trick, you might need a powered USB (3.0) hub.I've been using this cable for around 48 hours now, they have been the most frustrating 48 hours of my time using the Oculus Rift.Sensors losing tracking/connection, being throttled down to a USB 2.0 speed, or just flat out failing to see that there is even a sensor connected. No doubt it works well for other applications, but for VR? Look elsewhere. I would return this but it is not elligble for return, so it appears that i've just got a standard USB extension cable that I can't use.TL;DR - If you want reliability for VR, look elsewhere, but for general purpose it's probably worthwhile. This item is perfect, I wanted to put my UE Megablast with Alexa speaker in the centre of my room hanging from the ceiling be able to charge it while its playing but still be able to have it hanging from the ceiling so I needed to run a usb cable from the speaker to the ceiling across the ceiling down the wall and to the mains, I found a white woven mixed material (Nylon and something else) 5 meter super fast gold tipped charging cable but that only made it across the ceiling but less then a meter down the wall so I needed something to go from the mains plug to reach connect and also be able to break the connection when the speaker was fully charged so as not to burn out the battery but not have to get my very nice chair from my desk to be able to disconnect and reconnect the speaker, this mad it easy access and the extension cable isnt as bulky as it looks in the photos and delivers more then enough power to charge my UE Alexa speaker connections both.end are well made and tight gold tipped male to female and I'm a very happy customer straight 10 outta 10 product ??????Cable arrived and does not work as described and for my purposes.I tried to return as it arrived today and Amazon are saying it's not able to return ,what a load of crap and I don't recommend this cable from cable matters,no good.It has actually stopped work completely, was charging phone now nothing. Not even a week old and faulty.
