Tested it without entering a call and was disappointed - the background blurred even though I didn't ask for that and the focus was off. When I joined a Teams call, though, everything changed. My video was by far the clearest of anyone on the call, and there was no blur of me or the background. Serious improvement over the built-in webcam. This is my second C930e after my cat chewed through the cord of my first. It's been great, especially with how many video conferences I do these days. It's audio seems very good, and I'm consistently one of the crisper feeds on Zoom calls. The ability to switch between normal and wide-angle is welcome, though it does seem to struggle a little in low-light.A few minor quibbles: the privacy shutter stayed in place great with the first one I had but the second is looser, and I always have to make sure it hasn't shifted. It'd also be nice if it folded a little flatter/more compactly - it's a bit awkward to fit in a briefcase.Still 5 stars, no question. If my cat chews through this one too, I'll be ordering another same-day.Reading all the reviews I was worried if I’d get 930c instead of 930e, but the webcam I received was exactly what I ordered. I chose this one because it has video compression. I haven’t had a chance to test how it looks to other people I’m conferencing with, but at least my part I’m quite happy with what it does.Pros:+ Easy setup. No driver/software required. You connect it via USB, and then update the camera in whichever program you’re using (FaceTime, Skype, Zoom etc). I’m using Macbook Pro with Big Sur and it works well with every application I tried.+ Works okay in low light conditions. (Definitely better than mac’s inbuilt webcam)+ Sound recording quality is good. With this camera’s mic, my voice sounds more natural than it did with default mic and some wireless earphones.+ Can be affixed to laptop or desktop monitor easily.+ Privacy slider/flap to prevent the camera from accidentally recording anything is very useful (and important, in today’s age).Cons:- Bulkier than other webcams (there are both cheaper and more expensive webcams which are smaller than this)- The app download link with the instruction manual did not work.- ETA: I found two Logitech softwares that can be used to modify/control the output from this camera, but neither are mentioned in the Amazon webpage (nor in the Logitech store page for this camera, although the apps themselves are available in their website). I wish they advertise these apps better so people can make full use of the camera. Some more details about the app. Listing separately from pros and cons because the app is optional. The camera works well as a basic webcam without the app.* The Logi Capture app can be downloaded from Logitech website. I don’t know if there is any other special app for this model. The Logi Capture app page does not list this model as supported (but it does recognize the model, see screenshot)* The app can be used to zoom in, add text overlay, make video with the screen capture, change resolution (1080p,720p, or 360p). It says you get more functionality if you create an account (free) but I’m not a streamer so I didn’t bother. There is also the option to adjust white balance.* The video input from the app and that directly from the camera are different. All the above adjustments are available only if you choose the Logi Cam video (and not Logitech 930e) in the video client you are using (Skype/Zoom etc).* In Big Sur, I always had to force quit the app - it did not crash while in use, but I could not close it normally, because it ‘stopped responding’ - needing me to force quit the app.* It saves videos in .mov format and photos in .bmp formatEdited to add: I found about another app called LogiTune, which seems more relevant to this as a regular webcam (as opposed to a streaming cam). Because the changes made in that app is directly noticed in zoom (when selecting the camera), as opposed to Logi Capture app which has to be selected separately. Also the LogiTune app can do to firmware update on the camera. The screenshots from this app are added later to the review and mentioned. When Covid hit, you couldn’t get a quality camera, so I got stuck ordering a cheap piece of Chinese junk. I finally got around to purchasing this camera and wow - what a difference. Very clear picture and great auto-focus technology. Clearly you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this webcam.Back in 2019 I bought this Logitech C930e to replace my older C920 as I read/heard it was a better model when it came to auto focus staying focused. Quality of the auto focus is much better when there is any changing in lighting such as being near a window during a mild cloudy day and the brightness changes from the cloud movement. C930e has a glass lens, I'm not sure if my C920 was a later revision which went to plastic but I noticed the C930e was sharper even though the edges showed the 90 degree lens curvature. For many the wider angle 90 degree lens is ideal for multiple people in the room for a conference, for just one person it does give you room to move around. As far as the built-in microphone I didn't find it any better since its in the same location as the C920.Even at the slight premium price over the C920, the auto focus being much better is a major reason why I recommend the C930e.The camera is good, with quite high quality pictures. Não me serviu. Product does not even have Indian importers details. Generally when you purchase a Logitech product you can see the importer details and it does not have any such details. Clearly this is not a properly imported product and I am not even sure if this product Carrie's warranty in India. It is categorized as used, but as they mention in the fine print it is a Logitech C930c (not a C930e), brand new in original packaging with regular warranty plus a mini-tripod and lens-cleaning cloth included. Delivery is listed as 15-25 days plus additional due to the pandemic; mine arrived at my door in Vancouver, BC in 3 weeks. Logitech North America reports "The C930c is a webcam specifically made and distributed in the Asian market. It is basically a scaled down version of the C930e without upgradeable firmware." Logitech also supplied a product description web page, but it is entirely in Chinese. The small user manual is only in English and Chinese and much of the labelling is also Chinese. Logitech also supplied a link to a 390c - specific settings application, but I had already installed the C390e settings app, and it seems to work fine. The settings app allows you to operate the 4x zoom, pan and tilt, brightness, contrast, and colour intensity. I have not found any functional limitations of the C390c vs. the C390e.It is worth mentioning that neither the C390e or C390c work with Logitech's "Capture" video streaming & recording software. I was hoping, but it's not essential to me. What I really needed was zoom and exposure control and this webcam does them both. If "Capture" is important to you, you need to order a different webcam. Logitech will supply a full list of the compatible webcams. For both the C390e and C390c, the 4x zoom is a very powerful feature, the exposure settings seem to accommodate any lighting situations, and electronic pan and tilt are a delightful bonus. I teach guitar online, and with the C390 I can set it up to show myself and my guitar with the camera several feet away and not intruding on me. If I need to go closeup on either hand, a few mouse clicks will zoom right in and move the frame area left, right, up, down to show the student how I fret or pick a piece.
