First of all, I don't know for sure whether these are genuine or not. I bought two pairs from a seller called 'everything authentic' and have used them for over a year with no problems. Recently I obtained two more earbuds with similar functions AmazonBasics Premium In-Ear Headphones with Microphone and Mediabridge In-Ear Headphones with Built-In Microphone (White / Grey). Testing them side by side showed that genuine or not the cheap samsung earbuds perform same as the three times more expensive other earbuds.There is always a chance you can get a lemon product and that chance is heigher if you are purchasing a product like this that is not in retail pack or in a proper package. But I was lucky and mine had no problem.The multifunction button triggered hands free phone answering in android phones and continuous pressing started voice command in my tablets and smartphones. ( These functions do not work in windows phones). The volume up/down worked as expected and the sound quality was as good as the other tested items in terms of max sound volume, noise free sound and no breaking in bass and tremble. The microphone was OK but it is hard to test it ( Microphone only works in mobile devices not on laptops)The total length is 4'. The cord is flat but not as wide as the tangle free earbuds. So tangling can be a problem for this one.The remote control is towards the right and the cord length after the bifurcation can be adjusted with a small slider which is a plus that does not exist in the other earbuds.There are no cases or accessories included and all you get is plain simple earbuds. The mediabridge model comes with a good set of accessories and a carrying case. That may be an appealing choice if you are interested in the accessories but also you need to be willing to pay $15 for that luxury while this one costs less than $6.As I said, I don't know for sure about the originality but these things no matter where you buy don't really have warranty anyways and no matter how expensive ( I had sony, philips, panasonic) they all last for a certain period. So I am happy with my purchase
