These were perfect for my outdoor runs in cold temperature to also cover my ears and occasionally the gym. It can heat up quickly. I need to be able to hear and be alert while I’m out running because the public space is chaotic and I’ve been chased and assaulted on runs before - the active noise canceling level works well to block out wind while letting in enough sound to know what’s happening around me. I only ever listen with the ANC on - I find the sound to be fuller and better.I own Bose NC700 and QC II and of course these are much better function and quality wise but I do appreciate having this pair to take out for runs and workouts and not have to worry about breaking an expensive pair. With it being so lightweight and cheaper as I got a refurbished version, it’s of great value as a purchase.These would be a good starter ANC headphones for those who haven’t owned a pair before or would like a budget pair that they don’t mind beating up. I’m careful with my headphones so I don’t know about durability.im not sure if I’d purchase these at full price as soundcore ANC headphones series may be more worth it for more functions. I’ve done a lot of research on which pair of headphones would work for outdoor runs - I’m happy to have gotten these.Clamp force:Theyre not super tight but also light enough that they don’t need to be as they won’t fall off my head. Should work for bigger heads because of the light clamp force. They’re lighter than Bose QC II.Update 2 years later: came back here to say I stand by what I wrote. I've since moved to the subarctic north and went out running on the ice road the other day with these. It worked well and proved to be waterproof enough with the freezing air freezing the warmth/moisture (-35 with windchill). I was covered in ice by the time I got home. My iphone seized to work properly because of the cold but these headphones being under one layer of hoodie fabric continued to work. If it were the Bose ones, they'd stop working with the touch controls. 10/10 worth the money and will likely get a pair for my partner.
