I've had these headphones since 2015, work great, can't really recall how the original padding was, but after 5 years it was worn down and thinned out enough for it to let me feel the actual speaker and it would be unbereable and cause headaches after 2 hours. With this replacement, which is easy to install, it made it as comfortable as it can be. Would recommend it to anyone who has the Siberia's and wants to lift them up
