Now that I'm working from home 100% of the time I needed a good headset for my desk phone and for PC based tools like Teams, Skype, and Zoom. My work provided a headset, but I wanted better.I've used Sennheiser mics in the pro audio applications in the past, and knew of the quality. So, I looked at what they had to offer and spent a few bucks and bough a Sennheiser SD Pro 1 ML headset from Amazon. They aren't cheap, but they work great and sound great. After four months of use the base of the headset (part that connects to the PC and charges the headset) developed a problem that made it difficult to securely attach the headset.I called Sennheiser to learn that this product line had been sold to Demant Sound. I called up Demant expecting to hear one of two things: 1)"Sorry, but we don't honor Sennheiser's warranty on products you did not buy from us" or 2)"Send the base in, and we will evaluate it and may provide a replacement".At best I knew I was going to have to pay to ship the base back for evaluation and repair, and I was already trying to dig out an old half-broken headset to use for the two or three weeks while I waited.I was very impressed with the response from Demant. I sent the agent a couple of photos of the base andheadset showing the problem. A couple of days later I received an email saying a new base was being shipped to me. Once I determine that the new base solves the problem (it does) I am to notify Demant Sound, and they will send me a pre-paid shipping label to return the defective base. It's been decades since I've had a vendor ship me a replacement product without a credit card number changing hands! Thanks, Sennheiser and Demant! Job well done!
