It is two in the morning, and I find myself writing a review for these headphones. These might not be someone else’s cup of tea, but they made this juice and I am addicted. This is my initial review since, i just got them yesterday. I have read that the material of the wire is not the best. That it does not have bass or the highs are too bright. I took them out of the box and immediately I fell in love when I plugged them in. The music just came alive. I am hearing things I did not before. The bass balance through me right back into what some pretty good full range floorstanding Greg Timbers created JBL studio 590’s speakers sound like. If you are thinking of pulling the trigger on these headphone. Do it!! I am not a musician, but I love music. I have not stopped listening. The sound is just something else. The dual driver really does make a difference. If this is musicians little secret then, now I know what the masses felt like when Algebra was introduced to them. It sounds like I’m hyping them up, but you got to give props where it is due. The highs are not fatiguing. I have used headphones where I needed to rest my head. Bass was lacking or at some point would distort, not the case here. Here is what I am using to make these headphones sound great: I have an IPhone 6s and with good reason. The audio port for this model was made better than some D A C currently out. It is Audiophile quality. Yeah, who knew? This info based on Ken Rockwell site. Yes I know some will say it is not reel to reel or vinyl. Like i said might not be your cup of tea. Still what you have might be better. What I have not encountered with these is the pressure that is created in your ear. The kind that makes the driver in the headphone pop and crackle. The noise cancelling is passive and not active, but it works. It is significantly reduced. The distortion is not present, unless it is on purpose. I have tried to turn it up to see the point that I do, but I turn it down cause I do want to hear for the next few years. The bass is punchy, and at times sounds bass heavy. Of course this is dependent on the source material. I have tried it on material that gives presence in the imaging. Like 3D music is great. Imaging is just something else. OK, I know some one is going to ask this, maybe to themselves but it will be asked. What about movies? I tried gravity. The entire scenes before they get hit by space debris is something else. It is where you can really appreciate the imaging. Hearing Sandra Bullock speak through her mic in the space suit.OMG. You can hear just so much detail. Even doing some critical listening you hear things you normally don’t. Like store bought bread and bread made in a bread machine. Like that. This is a gem, for those who like music or movies. Based on the sound you are expecting the gut punch. Instead your skull is being blown by every track sampled. For the price you wont be disappointed. UPDATE: these headphone are playing strong as the first day out of the box. For those who do research on what they buy. Do yourself a favor read the review of Docholliday review. This reviewer has gone the extra mile to the detail of what you hear into some words, frankly that’s hard to do. Just know if you have not bought these yet you are for sure missing out. These IEM’s are a great buy for the price. Fall in love again with your music.
