My family thinks I'm ignoring them. :) I can't hear them when they come by and say something. That's how good they block out sound. I'm not one to get over involved in what I'm doing most of the time but yes, it can get one into trouble if that is an issue. Oops! They sound amazing! Add a good sound card and you're set. I'm playing Guild Wars 2, which is an older game but has some great music behind it. I can hear the water dripping in the caves and the wind in the trees as well as every foot step or voice; as if it were a whisper in my ear. All of this is without my volume being cranked up.n fact, quite the contrary, I tend to get headaches and am very particular about what I hear and how loud. Shill sounds and deep bass that is overly repetitive will trigger it. So even on a very low setting I can hear everything, in every range. This is a good set, comfortable for over the ear wearing on a smaller head female for long periods of time. I wear glasses and it can get a little uncomfortable were the arms push into the temples, but a simple shift and the ear pads quickly adjust to a new position. That really is my only complaint and it isn't against the headphones. They are light. The headband will adjust to the height of the head for a larger head. I have mine on the smallest setting. The gold/brown is beautiful and has held up well to regular daily wear for over a month. No cracks/chips etc. The cord is long, and has a wrapped loop in it that I haven't even had to unband. Volume control is simple to use and works well. The mic is clear, moves well and is easily picked up by others viz zoom and other programs.I would recommend these as quality headphones for anyone looking to buy into the market just above baseline. At the $30-50 range they are high quality and will likely prove their worth.
