The stand is designed on strong triangle shapes to make it rigid and of solid metal, I like that my Xbox is mounted to a plate that can turn while staying securely mounted so I can access the cords or the extra memory slot without having to dismount it. Be sure to use all 3 mounting holes because this will also make it very sturdy. In my case the hardware sent was sufficient to mount it securely. If mounting to a drywall surface, I would have used a longer screw for the center hole and found a stud then used better anchors for the sides. The spin plate that snaps onto the Xbox is held to the platform via a thumb screw which allows you to install and not over tighten. In Pic's 19 & 20 the same type of thumb screw is used to mount the rest for headset/controller to the side and you can see there is no slots for a screwdriver, which makes them hard to install but prevents you from stripping out the threads. My TV sits far enough away from the wall via its mount that this Xbox mount I was able to position behind the TV, helping to hide cords and save space on my shelves below. This is a simplistic mount but very sturdy making it a great choice for my personal situation, I recommend it.
