I had to have a friend show me how to use these. I'm not going to lie this is my first pair and I was completely blown away from this pair's stereo sound! We did not have these in my generation, so things like this are in a territory I'm not very knowledged in, I heard things I have never knew you could hear. I wanted headphones so if I was watching something very late the noise wouldn't bother my neighbors. My friend was standing right next to me, so I asked her if she could hear anything and she said "No." Later I realized that the main purpose of these were for playing games and talking to others. Okay, that's a concept I don't even want to think about, however if speaking to someone else has the same quality as it does while watching something with stereo sound, then this headset is excellent and I highly recommend them, even for those of my generation. I was not expecting that my experience listening in stereo sound was something I have been missing out on, well, this is one of my holiday gifts to me!
