First of all, I didn't intend to get 10 of these little earpieces, but that was the only quantity available. If you were looking to fit out your biking gang or church security team with earpieces then this could be a nice find for you.The good: the cable is nice, and seems to include some kind of fabric strand inside to make it more pliable than a regular one. The earpiece folds around your ear and, in a brilliant move, the speaker is rotatable so the same earpiece can be used in either ear. The lapel mic has a clip, which is nice, and a toggle to switch between push-to-talk and automatic on; I have never had luck with my Midland radios automatically turning on, so it's PTT for me, and it works fine.The bad: it's a real trial to get the super-thin foam cover over the earpiece speaker. When my fingers failed, I tried to use tweezers, pliers, etc. and ended up mostly just ripping it before I could get it over at all. I would recommend trying to install it, as the hard plastic of the speaker is VERY uncomfortable without it, and pretty uncomfortable with it. Sound quality is acceptable, but the speaker provides no seal with your ear canal, so it's not going to block any sound and you're going to have to listen to it on a fairly loud setting, especially if there's wind or other background noise.Like all wired headsets, you have to "wire yourself in", e.g. connecting the radio to the headphone/lapel mic, feeding all that through your clothes, pinning the lapel mic, and then getting the headset on. You will struggle and you will become tangled in the cord, so expect that. I can't really slight this particular headset design for that, but I would love a wireless option...Anyway, the value is good, but the product itself is only marginally nicer than the headphones that came with your radio or the earbuds you'd get on a cheap flight. I don't see many alternatives on the market, so if you're ok with the discomfort the earbuds and the hassle of the wires, it's the only game in town.
